DAY 1:
Arrival and be welcomed by our friendly guest relation executives. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and cold towels and be escorted to your room which is kept ready for you on arrival.
Time to relax and unpack and explore the facilities and features of the resort spread over 25 acres.
Attend your prefixed appointment with our in house Ayurveda doctor where you will be briefed of the various ayurvedic procedures and fix the timings of your personalized treatment over the next three days.
Morning ayurvedic session – Abhyangam – One Hour
This general body massage that uses traditional massage techniques and medicated herbal oils which will rejuvenate and relax the entire body by improving the circulation of vital life fluids and through discharge of waste materials.

This highly effective therapy eliminates toxins by stimulating sweat glands and by improving blood circulation. Nasyam involves introducing herbal medicines into the nasal pathway, which cleanses the sinus and nasal cavity. It also nourishes the sense organs above the neck.

Day II morning ayurvedic treatment - Pathrapotalaswedam – One Hour
Leaves and powders of medicinal herbs are fried in medicated oil, bundled in a muslin cloth and then applied over the body in a rhythmic manner. This massage is very useful in treating arthritis, muscular aches, inflammatory conditions etc.

In this treatment a steady stream of decoctions or lukewarm oil is made to flow over the forehead while giving gentle massage to the head. After breakfast at the resort you have the option of going on a 2 hour canal cruise. During the cruise you can enjoy the scenic beauty of the backwaters and the swaying palms and the gentle breeze across the Vembanad Lake. Try your hand at fishing and have the catch cooked for you by our chef.
Day III morning ayurvedic session Njavarakizhy - One Hour.
This treatment involves a massage with medicinal rice called Njavara, cooked with milk and herbs. It is tied into a muslin cloth bag and applied on the body. Helps relieve muscle wasting and weakness of body.

4 days Ayurvedic Rejuvenation package includes the Luxury Pavillion accommodation for 3 nights, daily yoga or meditation classes buffet breakfast, buffet lunch, buffet dinner and 1 sunset cruise on the lake every day. Kumarakom Ayurvedic Resort Kerala is a Green Certified Ayurvedic Resort, this Certification is provided by the government of Kerala.
After arrival and relaxation, you will have your first scheduled appointment with the in house Ayurveda Doctor where you will be briefed of the various ayurvedic procedures and fix the timings of your personalized treatment over the next three days.
The yoga and meditation sessions in the morning are held between 6:30 to 7:30 near the infinity pool where you can enjoy fresh air and the scenerity of the Lake and the birds. The Yoga sessions are taught using the traditional principals of Hatha Yoga.
The ayurvedic rejuvenation package included 2 massages/treatments daily one scheduled in the morning and one in the evening. Abhyangam, Pathrapotalaswedam, Njavarakizhy which last for 1 hour are conducted in the morning as these are a bit more intensive in nature. Steam Bath & Nasyam, Sirodhara which last for 30 mins are conducted in the evening as they are less intensive. The details of each of the above Ayurvedic massage/treatments are provided below.

Food for this package is served as a Buffet Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. When you have your Ayurvedic doctor consultation he would guide you according to your doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) and you can choose what to eat accordingly. The ayurvedic science recommends a vegetarian diet (which include milk, butter, cheese and ghee).
